In the tradition of our mid-year concert, the 2017 Virtuosis Gala will feature a bevy of QMO's most talented soloists and the Queensland Medical Choir. This Gala event will showcase the Saint Saens Piano Concert No. 2 with soloists Dr Brendan Wisnowski, Professor Emma Duncan and Dr Jee-Yong Kim; whilst our cello virtuosi Dr Julia Finch, Dr Nicola Campbell and Dr Michael Lam will perform Haydn's Cello Concerto in C Major. There will also be woodwind soloists with selected movement of other concerti. The magnificent voices of the Queensland Medical Choir will feature with choral masterpieces. Virtuosis will be the highlight of this year's program with a spectacular classic masterpieces and amazing talents, presenting to you an evening not for the faint-hearted.
This event will be held in our new modern venue: the recently built state-of-art Performing Arts Centre at St Peter's Lutheran College. The auditorium is spacious and well designed with complete viewing access to the stage from any seat. Tickets will be sold with allocated seating.
With over 1000 tickets already sold, QMO's first production of the year is shaping up to be a spectacular event! The concert will feature dancers from Queensland Ballet, Red Hot Rhythm and Flamenco Studio, just to name a few. Seating is general admission, so get in early for the best view. Parking is available under the City Hall in King George Square Car Park at a flat rate of $5 on Sunday. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day if you would like to bring some friends.

In a stellar production of music and dance, the QMO will be joining with members of the Queensland Ballet for the first concert of the year, on Sunday 9th April at 2pm. Set on the grand stage of the Brisbane City Hall, musicians and dancers unite with a repertoire that will feature the best of ballet, tap dancing and flamenco. We promise there will be something for all to enjoy.
Proceeds will be going to charities of palliative care to help terminally ill sufferers during the most difficult time of their lives. We are always proud to share the talents of students, medical professionals and friends as we contribute to local initiatives that aim to improve the lives of others in the community.

Come one, come all to the first Ashintosh event of the year presented by Queensland Medical Jazz! Our Jazz Night will feature the talented musicians and dancers from your cohort, many of whom would have been serious contenders for roles in La La Land. Whether you indulge in the dulcet tones of Sinatra or you'd prefer to just dance to Lady Gaga, there will surely be something for all to enjoy.
All the proceeds go towards Ashintosh initiatives in health education and promotion in Brisbane.
